What Does the "Fits Opening" Measurement Mean?

As the menu indicates, the width measurements represent the opening size needed between walls, posts, or other support structures. In the "fits opening" dimension, we have already included the space needed for hinges and latches, so you do not need to make any adjustments for these items. Our measuring guide provides additional clarification.

What Does "Physical Height" Mean? 

As the name implies, this indicates the actual height of the gates, measured from the underside of the frame to the highest point. It does not include any ground clearance that must be included when installing the gates to ensure they will open freely.
